My Story

My goal at Ashleigh Nicole Fitness is to provide customized fitness training and consultations for individuals and groups. I provide in-studio and virtual solutions that can work for every budget!
I grew up in a small town in Ohio where I was actively involved in sports from an early age and played competitive volleyball and softball throughout school. I attended university and earned a B.A. in Political Science and AA in English. After working eight years in Washington, DC at the Department of Justice, I met and married my husband and we moved to Belgium for his work. While in Europe I started teaching group fitness classes to an international group of women and now I continue to teach in the U.S. I have accredited certificates from American Council on Exercise and a specialized certification from Mad Dogg Athletics.
While I absolutely love teaching, coaching, and watching others crush their fitness goals. I am very sensitive to the fact that your health is more than a fitness program or a number on the scale, a healthy lifestyle includes your mental health. Being diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of twelve rocked my athletic confidence and made me question my own abilities, but I overcame. Then in college I developed anxiety that led to a serious eating disorder, but I overcame. I share this with you so you know I am not perfect and I understand that change is hard but with the right tools, mindset, and support you too can overcome any obstacle and improve your overall health!

At first I was intimidated about going to Ashleigh’s class but eventually, I braved up and went. I’m not a go at it hard kinda gal but that was ok! She made me feel welcomed and a part of the group even if I had to modify some things. She is a great motivator and her classes were fun and varied so I never felt bored. If you like fun, making friends and can tolerate some sweat, then join in a session with Ashleigh!
Ashleigh is an incredible motivator being around her and her positivity helped me lose 50lbs. Being in a fitness class lead by Ashleigh was just what I needed to kick start my day to motherhood. Going to her class was exciting and fun no matter the weather or the mood I was in. Her thoughtfully planned routines helped me rebuild by body so that I was stronger and more confident.
