I have never been one to care about exercise and nutrition. I was lucky enough to eat what I wanted and just go about my life without it affecting me, or so I thought. As I matured and started having children, I rapidly gained weight but it wasn’t until I had my fourth baby that I started struggling. I was gaining lots of weight and my back was constantly hurting. I had sciatic pain that was unbearable. I decided to change. I started walking daily and worked out twice a week in Ashleigh’s classes. It was hard in the beginning. The very first time, I felt like I was going to throw up! Every week I wanted to give up and go back to my old ways but I quickly noticed that I was losing weight which kept me going. Fast forward six months, and I feel amazing. I’ve dropped 30lbs and my back pain is practically gone. I love exercising regularly but most of all, I like how it makes me feel. I am so grateful to Ashleigh for motivating me and always encouraging me. I also love the workouts that she teaches. In the beginning, she would help me with modifications that I needed and kept me challenged as my fitness level increased.

My weight loss journey started in the fall of 2016, after seeing I hit my highest weight at 210lbs. Though to be honest it was probably higher, I hated weighing myself. Once my youngest child started preschool I started making my health and body a priority. I started working out by myself, doing gym machines, and walking /running. I lost 10lbs and hit a wall. For the next few years I stayed focused for a while, but would eventually quit working out off and on. I didn’t know what I was really doing and taking classes was hard when I felt so self-conscious of what my body looked like. Then in the fall/winter of 2018 Ashleigh changed my life. Ashleigh changed the way I hated working out and never feeling like I fit in at the gym. She helped me change my mindset, and that’s what started the beginning of my new path. Since working out with and learning from Ashleigh I am now down to 158lbs, for a loss of 52lbs!! On top of that through her encouragement and leadership, she trained me and other members to run a Spartan Super! One of the best experiences of my life, one I am blessed to have shared with her and our teammates. What I have learned from and achieved with Ashleigh is going to stay with me forever. I am so grateful that she came into my life when she did and that she came in like a tornado, ready to build me up at each class for days on end!

I started attending Ashleigh’s classes in July of 2019. We had just moved to the area and I bumped into a friend of mine that recommended her classes. Now, I am a picky person when it comes to exercise classes. I have been to many many classes in multiple states. I have taken kickboxing, weight lifting, dance aerobics, cardio, swim aerobics, step classes, CrossFit classes and more. When I go to a class, I want it to be challenging to the point that I can’t do everything. Then I will have room to improve. I also want a teacher that is encouraging and inspiring when it comes to fitness. A person who challenges me to be better and work hard to achieve more and who embodies that themselves. Ashleigh is that kind of teacher. She is one of the most encouraging teacher’s I have ever had. She gives multiple options for different levels of fitness consistently so all can work at their own level, but still challenges people to push their boundaries. I take her Cardio Strength Intervals classes and one of the things I love the most about her classes is that they are always different. She really mixes it up so you never get bored. Sometimes we work outside like a CrossFit class and other times we do indoor stations that we rotate to. Sometimes we work with a lot of weights, other times it is more of a cardio workout. I love the creativity and effort that Ashleigh puts into her classes. She is always there early setting up. She really cares about the people in her class and their success. She even learns everyone’s names and that is saying something when her class consists of 20 plus people. She also organizes other events outside of class like a spartan run or just a run for people to participate in. I highly recommend taking her classes. It is like having another family when you are part of her class.

I was never really into going to fitness classes in the past. I had never been in a class where I felt like I belonged. Then I started attending Ashleigh’s class to help me with recovering from tennis elbow and getting in shape. She was up at the front of the class doing the exercises with us. Having her up there performing the exercises too was extremely encouraging. Yet, if anyone had a question about their form, Ashleigh was right there to help them out. She makes a point of knowing everyone’s name, and she cares about her students. Not only their physical well-being, but their mental and emotional well-being as well. Ashleigh makes it so that her students feel like they belong and are a family. The workouts are full-body exercises that push me to my limits. The exercises are not the same thing over and over again. Ashleigh changes them up so that we do not get bored. Changing the exercises also makes it so that I feel like I am constantly improving. Before starting Ashleigh’s classes, I would have never even considered participating in a Spartan Race. Ashleigh’s classes not only gave me the confidence and conditioning to participate, but I was able to complete the Spartan Race and lose more than 20 pounds. Everything that I have gained from attending Ashleigh’s classes really comes down to just a few things. She has made me feel not only like I belong in her class, but she has given me the encouragement to continue. Ashleigh has made it so that I want to keep coming back. She has changed my attitude about working out.

Ashleigh is an incredible fitness instructor! She fosters a fun environment where people are encouraged to push as hard as they can. Her workout programs and encouragement pushed me to train for a Spartan Race and reach fitness levels I hadn’t seen in years. Spectacular instructor!

Ashleigh is the best! Her workouts were always challenging, varied, and well planned. She pushes you to do your very best through every workout. Classes were inviting, and she always made you feel welcomed. She creates a team environment that fosters inclusion, support, and empowerment. I signed up for my very first Spartan in December 2019, and was terrified. With her training, I was able to complete the course and attempt every obstacle with confidence. Thank you Ashleigh, for keeping us healthy and strong!

At first I was intimidated about going to Ashleigh’s class but eventually, I braved up and went. I’m not a go at it hard kinda gal but that was ok! She made me feel welcomed and a part of the group even if I had to modify some things. She is a great motivator and her classes were fun and varied so I never felt bored. If you like fun, making friends and can tolerate some sweat, then join in a session with Ashleigh!

Ashleigh is an incredible motivator being around her and her positivity helped me lose 50lbs. She was never pushy but always reminded me that a healthy lifestyle was a mindset that started with me and the small choices I make each day. I’m grateful for Ashleigh and the confidence she helped me regain in myself!

Being in a fitness class lead by Ashleigh was just what I needed to kick start my day to motherhood. Going to her class was exciting and fun no matter the weather or the mood I was in. Her thoughtfully planned routines helped me rebuild by body so that I was stronger and more confident. Just being around her gave me a sense of peace that there was no rush with the journey to a healthier me. It was just so easy to be there and workout with her guidance.

Ashleigh's classes were always well organized and dynamic. She made everyone feel welcomed and encouraged each of us to work within our capacities while still pushing our limits each day. Ashleigh is a kind and friendly spirit. We were all very attached to her and I was sad to see her go. She made my day everyday by greeted me with her beautiful warm smile.
